GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Title of dataset Perfil social, educativo, lingüístico, cognitivo y musical de adultos con baja alfabetización en español y francés como lengua extranjera Social, Educational, Linguistic, Cognitive, and Musical Profile of Adults with Low Literacy in Spanish and French as Foreign Languages 2. Contact Principal Investigator Contact Information Name: M.Carmen Fonseca Mora Institution: UHU Email: fonseca@uhu.es ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2404-3553 3. Description of the project These data come from the Multilits project, which focused on research into multiliteracies for adults at risk of social or educational exclusion who are learning an additional language (such as Spanish as a Foreign Language or French), as is the case for many migrants and refugees. The collected data reflect several commitments: -They facilitate the exchange of data within the discipline of the project. -Experimental data are gathered to meet the commitments established with the funding entity. -They have been used to achieve the objectives of the project and in conferences and peer?reviewed publications. -They compile and make available the research project’s data to support credibility and raise the quality of scientific publications based on those data. -They provide data for future research projects that continue the work. This approach will ensure a lasting impact of this EU?funded project beyond the project period. 4. Description of the dataset The collected data are sensitive, although anonymized, because they come from adults with a low level of literacy in the host country’s language — in our case Spain (Huelva) and France (Marseille). To this end, the participants who gave their written consent carried out various cognitive, linguistic, musical, and digital tests, while also providing different socio?demographic and educational data. All these data have been subdivided into 102 variables from 82 individuals. All the data resulting from the different tests have been coded and are available in .xlsx format. 5.
