Biography

In 2005 I obtained the title of PhD with European mention by the University of Huelva, where I work as Full Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering. Currently, I participate in various competitive R & D & I projects whose main objective is the formulation of bio-thickener for industrial applications. During the last five years I have carried out an intense and relevant research activity, regularly publishing articles in international and relevant journals, most of them within the first quartile, in the categories of "Chemical Engineering", "Mechanics", "Multidisciplinary Chemistry" and "Environmental Science". I have written several book chapters. I have participated regularly with oral and poster communications in numerous national and international congress. I have participated in the development of patents and in R&D projects with companies. I have supervised a PhD Thesis with European mention and that obtained the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize in the course 2011/12 and the Doctoral Thesis Prize AIQBE 2013, five final master projects and other end-of-career projects. In addition, I maintain a close collaboration with the Tribology Laboratory of the University of Applied Sciences of Hamburg, with regular visits and joint dissemination of our research results. On the other hand, in my desire to promote Technology Transfer, I have created, together with two colleagues, the first Spin-off company of the University of Huelva, called "Innomater, SL", with which various awards have been obtained. In addition, from July 2013 to December 2015 I was Head of Transfer Technology Office (OTRI) at the University of Huelva, thus contributing to the work of technology transfer from this University. Frequently I am invited to review publications in journals of the categories related to my scientific activity. I have also done technical evaluations like Expert Six Digits. As it can not be otherwise, this intense scientific and management work I have to reconcile with the continued exercise of my role as a teacher in this university, which I have obtained an excellent recognition at the institutional level with the professional award for teaching quality of the University of Huelva in the year 2009.
