Biography
Graduated in Chemistry from the University of Huelva (2017), where he subsequently completed a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training (2019) and a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (2022). In 2025, he obtained his PhD in Industrial and Environmental Science and Technology from the same university, where he is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher.
His professional career began in the private sector, gaining experience as an R&D Analyst at Persán S.A. (Sevilla, Spain) and as a Lab Assistant at Procter & Gamble BIC (Brussels, Belgium), participating in projects focused on the formulation and development of innovative products based on new materials. He later joined the University of Huelva as technical research support staff within the Pro2TecS research group, collaborating on the project “Intelligent biolubricants with electrorheological capability from used vegetable oils and lignocellulosic nanoparticles” (Programa Operativo FEDER Andalucía 2014–2020).
During his predoctoral stage, funded through a competitive fellowship from the Junta de Andalucía (PREDOC_01696), his research focused on the development of smart biolubricants capable of modifying friction and wear properties through the application of electric fields, within the fields of Rheology and Tribology.
In addition, he carried out research stays at the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials IWM (Germany), where he applied advanced tribological characterization techniques, and at the University of Sussex (United Kingdom), where he investigated the active control of the film thickness in electrorheological lubricants.
He is the author and co-author of scientific articles published in indexed journals as well as presentations at international conferences, and actively participates in science outreach activities such as the European Researchers’ Night and the Science Week.
