Violencia organizada y delincuencia trasnacional en Ecuador: enfoque histórico y actual

Abstract

El texto propone un acercamiento al problema de la Violencia Organizada y Crimen Trasnacional en Ecuador desde una perspectiva que dialoga entre un acercamiento histórico y otro estructural, para así profundizar sobre la coyuntura postpandemia, cuando se disparan acciones que no sólo afectan a la seguridad del país sudamericano, sino también a toda la región con implicaciones de carácter transregional; incluyendo espacios solamente considerados como mercados de consumo. Dada la complejidad y multidimensionalidad de la problemática, se realiza un acercamiento desde diferentes campos como la geopolítica, seguridad, sociología, etc., junto con información de carácter cualitativo y cuantitativo, para presentar un esfuerzo teórico y empírico que examina al problema enfocándose en la dinámica riqueza-poder, lo que nos permite ir más allá del campo delimitado a las relaciones interestatales. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The manuscript presents an approach to the problem of Organized Violence and Transnational Crime in Ecuador from a perspective that dialogues between a historical approach and a structural one, to deepen into the post-pandemic situation, when actions were triggered that did not only affect the security of the South American country, but also the whole region. Given the complexity and multidimensionality of this problem, the paper relies on different fields such as geopolitics, security, sociology, etc., along with qualitative and quantitative information, to present a theoretical and empirical effort that examines the problem, focusing on the wealth-power dynamics, which allows to go beyond any limitation on the field of interstate relations.
