Ciclicidad climática en sedimentos lacustres de la Formación El Castellar (Cretácico inferior, Cordillera Ibérica)

Abstract

La Formación El Castellar (Hauteriviense superior-Barremiense basal) en el perfil Castillo de Aliaga (subcuenca de Galve, NE España) está constituida principalmente por margas y calizas lacustres. El análisis espectral de series temporales (en el dominio de profundidad) de susceptibilidad magnética y litología muestra la presencia de tres ciclos estratigráficos, con periodicidades de ~57, ~13 y ~3 m, que han sido atribuidos, respectivamente, a los ciclos orbitales de excentricidad larga (405 ka) y corta (95 ka), y precesión larga (22,4 ka). La serie comprende 10 ciclos completos de excentricidad corta y otros dos incompletos, por lo que los sedimentos estudiados representarían en torno a 1 Ma, lo que está de acuerdo con el marco cronoestratigráfico de la subcuenca

The El Castellar Formation (late Hauterivian-early Barremian) in the Castillo de Aliaga section (Galve sub-basin, NE Spain) consists mainly of lacustrine marls and limestones. The spectral analysis of time series (depth domain) constructed from data of magnetic susceptibility and lithology shows the presence of three stratigraphic cycles, with periodicities of ~57, ~13 and ~3 m. These cycles have been attributed to large eccentricity (405 kyr), short eccentricity (95 kyr) and large precession (22.4 kyr) cycles, respectively. The series comprises 10 complete cycles of short eccentricity and another two incomplete, so that the studied succession would represent a time interval of ca. 1 Ma, what is in accordance with the chronostratigraphic framework of the subbasin
