La imagen de la mujer en el primer franquismo a través del diario Odiel

Abstract

El presente artículo pretende contribuir a la historia de género a partir del análisis del Diario Odiel, como “agente de socialización” del modelo de mujer vigente en el primer franquismo y reflejo del resto de estrategias implementadas por el régimen de Franco, así como de la vida femenina dentro de estas coordenadas temporales. Para ello profundizaremos en el pensamiento del Movimiento Nacional sobre la mujer y el papel asignado a la misma, en base a la construcción y perpetuación de la dictadura personal del caudillo.The present paper contributes to gender history by examining the Diario Odiel as an “agent of socialization” revealing the model of womanhood dominant during the first part of the Franco regime. The study also casts light on other, related strategies adopted by the Franco regime, and on the lives of women at the time. The study analyzes in depth the ideology of the National Movement with regard to women, and the role assigned to women on the basis of the construction and perpetuation of the Caudillo’s personal dictatorship.
