Análisis de la fracturación en la cuenca cenozoica de As Pontes (La Coruña)

Abstract

Minor fault analysis using Angelier and Mechler (1977) and Etchecopar et al. (1981) methods have been carried out in the Cenozoic As Pontes Basin (NW Spain).The paleostress tensors obtained are in agreement with the deformation fie ld defined by large scale faults. The orientations of a 1 and a 3 are parallel to those of the regional shortening (N-S to NNW-SSE) and extension (E-W to ESE-WNW) directions
