Abstract
We have studied the planktonic foraminifera and calcareous nannofossi/s of various Lower Cretaceous sections in the intermediate Units, south of Jaén. A new position for the Lower boundary of Los Villares formation the datation of the lower boundary of the Cerrajôn formation and a new age for the top of this formation are the main contributions of this note
