Abstract
En las Unidades Alpujárrides que afloran en La Axarquía se observan
pliegues recumbentes con distintas orientaciones. En algunas unidades,
como en las de Tejeda y Benthomiz, se describen flancos inversos kilométricos
en relación con sendos antiformes regionales cuyas superficies axiales
están actualmente plegadas al haber sido deformados durante el Mioceno
superior. De manera simultánea al plegamiento recumbente (F3) se forman
zonas de cizalla dúctil como las observadas en el núcleo del antiforme de la
Unidad de Benthomiz –que aflora en la zona de Torrox-. Es posible proponer
una dirección de transporte tectónico para el bloque de techo de los despegues
extensionales dúctiles (D3) hacia el E-NE
Within Alpujarride units cropping out in La Axarquia region, recumbent folds with different orientations are observed. In some units, as in the Tejeda and Benthomiz ones, kilometer-size overturned limbs belonging to individual regional antiforms, are described. The axial surfaces of these folds are now folded as a result of the superposition of deformation that occurred during the late Miocene. Simultaneously to recumbent folding (F3) ductile shear zones, as observed in the core of the Benthomiz Unit antiform which crops out in the Torrox area, formed. A top-to-the E-NE transport direction for the hanging wall of the ductile extensional detachments, can be proposed
