Alineaciones de centros volcánicos en la isla de Tenerife

Abstract

A mathematical method has been used to determine the alignments of effusive centers in the Recent Series of the Tenerife island. The strike of these lineations varies from one sector to another, in this way, on the northeastern part of the isle, the direction is NE-SW, meanwhile on the southern and northwestern parts these are NNE-SSW and NW-SE respectively. These strikes define a triple lineation pointing towards the center of the isle, although the southern one is not evident when considering only the central part of Tenerife island
