Los microcréditos : un nuevo instrumento de financiación para luchar contra la pobreza

Abstract

A medida que los planificadores de los Organismos Internacionales de Desarrollo veían cómo los instrumentos tradicionales para luchar contra la pobreza no tenían los efectos esperados, durante las últimas décadas ha nacido y se está desarrollando un nuevo instrumento de financiación que descansa en una filosofía muy diferente: Los Microcréditos. El principal objetivo de este artículo es presentar este nuevo instrumento y las instituciones que trabajan con los mismos a lo largo del mundo: su origen, su evolución , sus principales características y su validez como herramienta para reducir los actuales niveles de pobreza en el mundo. __________________________________________As planners of International Development Organisation realised how traditional instruments to fight against poverty were not producing the desired effects, there has been, in these last three decades, the birth and constant development of a new financing instrument, which is based on a very different philosophy: Microcredits. This article mainly seeks to present this new instrument and the institutions working with it throughout the world: its origin, evolution, main features and its merits as a tool for reducing the current poverty levels in the world.
