Aporte de solutos por cursos superficiales a la laguna de Fuente de Piedra (Málaga)

Abstract

The abnormally wet conditions of the 1996 and 1997 years have induced the streamwater flow to the Fuente de Piedra salt lake (Málaga). Samples of water from the main streams have been collected and analysed, showing different hydrochemical features which reflect natural (lithology) and anthropogenic (sewage) influences. The input of salts to the lake system from the streamwater during the 7996 - 7998 period is responsible of an average content of around 2 g/l. This is far less than the observed salinity, suggesting other sources as the main causes for the mineralisation of the lake water
