La gestión del hambre : discurso y praxis política de la falange en la huelva de la posguerra (1939-1945)

Abstract

El presente artículo pretende un acercamiento, desde la provincia de Huelva, a los llamados “años del hambre” y sus diferentes manifestaciones, pero, sobre todo, intenta calibrar el papel que ocupó la Falange dentro de esa realidad. Así, trataremos de reflexionar sobre los puntos de desencuentro existentes entre el revolucionario mensaje de justicia social que pregonaba FET y de las JONS y los continuos casos de corrupción o acaparamiento que salpicaron a una buena parte de los jerarcas provinciales y locales; una realidad que contrastaba con la rotunda miseria de una muchedumbre hambrienta.

This article attempts to illustrate, in a general way, the so-called “Years of Hunger” that took place at the region of Huelva and its different manifestations. Nonetheless, it is important to highlight that it deals, above all, with the analysis of the role played by the Falange within that reality. Hence the reflection carried out in the current paper regarding the contradictions between the revolutionary message of social justice claimed by FET and JONS and the constant cases of corruption in which a relevant part of the provincial and local dignitaries were involved constituting a reality that contrasted with the emphatic poverty and starvation in which the general crowd was immerse.
