Aprender a narrar con el cómic

Abstract

Proponemos la utilización del cómic en el aula como recurso didáctico para iniciar a nuestros alumnos en la lectura crítica de la imagen y en el conocimiento del género narrativo. Uno de los medios de comunicación más atractivo para niños y jóvenes y más característico de la cultura contemporánea, denominada «cultura de la imagen», es el cómic. Con este nombre genérico denominamos una serie de publicaciones: tebeos, tiras, historietas gráficas; cuyo tema, inicialmente cómico, pronto se diversificará hacia temas reales.

We propose the use of the comic as a didactic resource in the classroom to introduce our students to the critic reading of image and to the knowledge of the narrative genre. One of the most attractive means of communication for children and young people, and also one of the most characteristic ones of the contemporaneous culture, called “the culture of image”, is the comic. We use this generic name to denominate a series of publications: comic books, comic strips, graphic short stories; whose topic, comical at first, is soon going to diversify into real topics.
