J. L. López Aranguren (1909-1996) y el problema de nuestro tiempo

Abstract

El objeto de este artículo es analizar la concepción que tiene J.L. Aranguren del intelectual y su compromiso no sólo socio-económico y político sino también moral y cultural con la sociedad. Unamuno y Ortega, pero también Cervantes, jugarán un papel fundamental en el pensamiento de Aranguren sobre el problema de nuestro tiempo, la educación, y las difíciles relaciones entre ética y política. Y todo ello, sin sucumbir al desánimo en unos tiempos de profunda crisis moral como los de Aranguren y los nuestrosThe aim of this essay is to analyze J. L. Aranguren’s conception of the intellectual and his moral and political commitment to society. Not only Unamuno and Ortega, but also Cervantes will play a fundamental role on Aranguren’s thinking about the problem of our time, education and the difficult relations between ethics and politics. And all this, without succumbing to despondence at times of deep moral crisis like that of Aranguren and ours
