Abstract
Until now, the presence of iguanodontoids in the Lower Cretaceous of the Teruel province has been restricted to fossil bones and teeth. New tracks have been found in the Areniscas de Camarillas Formation (lower Barremian) in Cabra de Mora and El Castellar (both villages located in Teruel province, Maestrazgo basin, Peñagolosa Sub-basin). These new tracks are assigned to the ichnogenus Iguanodontipus, and their presence helps to complete the record of this kind of tracks in the Iberian Peninsula. Moreover, these tracks show that iguanodontoids were part of these fluvial continental ecosystems of this stratigraphic unit. It is quite remarkable the size of these ornithopods illustrated by track CPT-4399, measuring 50 cm of both length and width. This footprint has been preserved as convex epirelief
