Abstract

The Miers Bluff Formation crops out in the Hurd Peninsula, Livingston Island. lt consist of greywackes and slates, organised in coarsening-thickening and fining-thinning cycles. They have been interpreted as channelised and non-channelised turbidites from a mid- and outer turbiditic fan
La Formación Miers Bluff aflora en la península de Hurd, Isla de Livingston. Está compuesta por grauvacas y pizarra, organizadas en ciclos de engrosamiento-espesamiento y estabilizante-adelgazamiento. Se han interpretado como turbiditas canalizadas y no canalizadas de un abanico turbidítico medio y exterior.
