Abstract
Los Ibones tracksite represents a new contribution to the knowl edge of the vertebrate ichnological record of the Miocene of the Ebro Basin. The tracksite is located on the surface of a limestone level in the transition between the Uncastillo and Alcubierre formations. It corresponds to deposits from a shallow pond area that suffered sub aerial exposure and located in a distal alluvial plain. The tracksite is included in TSU N1 T5 and an early Miocene age has been proposed as most likely. Eight large footprints with low grade of morphological preservation have been identified. Most of their anatomical elements cannot be recognized with one exception that shows the presence of digits in anterior position. Considering their size and morphology, a large mammal, possibly a perissodactyl or an artiodactyl, is most likely the trackmaker
