La escuela distal

Abstract

Las tecnologías telemáticas están haciendo surgir un nuevo entorno para las interrelaciones humanas, que comienza a estar presente en la escuela. El entorno telemático es representacional, distal, asincrónico y reticular, y genera nuevas puertas y ventanas en la escuela, que conectan el aula con Telépolis, la ciudad global. Además de alfabetizar para el entorno proximal clásico, la escuela distal ha de alfanumerizar a niños y niñas, adaptándolos al nuevo espacio de interrelación a distancia. En este artículo se resumen algunas de las consecuencias educativas que este cambio suscita.

The telematic technologies are giving rise to a new environment for human interrelations, which begins to be present at school. The telematic environment is representational, distal, asynchronous and reticulated, and it generates new doors and windows in the school, which connect the classroom with Telepolis, the universal city. Besides teaching to read and write for the classic proximal environment, the distal school has to make children alphanumerical, adapting them to the new space of distance interrelation. In this article, the author summarizes some of the educational consequences that this change provokes.
