La competición como herramienta formativa : diferentes propuestas en minibasket

Abstract

La competición es la herramienta formativa por excelencia siempre que esté bien orientada y sea entendida como un proceso y no como meta o producto. Ignorarla o excluirla del proceso de formación deportiva del niño que se inicia en la práctica del baloncesto sería un error, ya que, no se correspondería con sus intereses y motivaciones, pues necesita medirse y compararse con él mismo y con los demás. Es el mejor medio para conseguir los aprendizajes y mejorar como jugador. Es necesario analizar las diferentes propuestas competitivas en minibasket para comprobar si existe una adaptación de las mismas a las caracteristicas del joven jugador.

Competition is an educational tool par excellence, wherever it is well oriented and understood as a process, and not as the goal, or product. The action of disregarding, or excluding it from the process of children’s sports training that begins in basketball practice will be an mistake, since it will not adjust to their interests and motivations, as it needs to be challenge and compare with themselves and with the others. This is the best way to achieve the lessons and improve as a player. It is necessary to analyse the diverse competitive proposals in minibasket, to check if an adaptation of those to the young player’s characteristics exists.
