Abstract
25 países europeos apuntan a diversos factores socioeconómicos nacionales. A
With data from the European Quality of Life Survey 2011 and 2016, the foundations of an indicator of socio-emotional well-being are exposed and it is calculated by applying a Structural Equation Modeling. The differences between 25 European countries point to various national socio-economic factors. Based on a selection of 7 countries from the initial set, these determining factors of the Indicator are analyzed through regressions. As explanatory variables we find the standard of living, questions related to the family, trust in people and socio-political factors such as the role of institutions and welfare policies. The results indicate that this indicator of well-being allows making comparisons closer to reality than other measures commonly used. It is also observed that national differences show disparate internal realities among the various social groups according to gender, income and age, to be taken into account in public policies
