Un Ortodoxo en la Cartaya del siglo XVIII

Abstract

Con este trabajo pretendemos analizar ciertos aspectos de la obra Noticias Genealógicas (1791) de D. Juan de Vallinas, vecino de Cartaya y “abogado de lugares”. Tratamos, en resumen, de describir el proceso a través del cual se fue configurando el “mundo mental” de un individuo en un momento y lugar concretos (2), procurando en última instancia discernir su vinculación con las bases de la Ilustración onubense (Lara Ródenas, 1995, pp. 15-20 (a)Thispaper explores someaspects of thework Noticias Genealógicas, written in 1791 bythe “local lawyer” don Juan de Vallinas, native of Cartaya (Huelva, Spain).
