Estructuras de acortamiento lateral en el frente del cabalgamiento varisco de Espiel, Córdoba (Zona Centroibérica meridional)

Abstract

In the southern part of the Central Iberian Zone (Iberian Massif), a Lower Carboniferous thrust superposed to the NE an allochthonous unit onto a paraautochthonous one. In the Espiel area, the thrust geometry includes several frontal horses. Furthermore, lateral confining of the nappe during transport produced a lateral hanging wall slice that branches out from the main thrust in the location of a lateral hanging wall ramp
