Neotectónica y morfología en la región de Muñico (Avila)

Abstract

The studied area shows morphological characteristics reflecting the local tectonics and the Alpine fracturation patterns, which might be related to the reactivation of previous tardihercinian trends. The deformation affect both the basement and the teitiary cover resulting in "Cuesta "-type landscapes, whose analysis allows us to establish the age of the movements corresponding to the last Alpine tectonic pulses
