El derecho penal económico es un sector en pleno crecimiento en el sistema jurídico italiano. Responde a los criterios y a la influencia del derecho europeo. Se aprecia la armonización del derecho penal en Italia y en todos los países europeos, y una enorme tendencia a aproximarse a los criterios del derecho administrativo.
