dc.description.abstractThe results of several trlaxial tests have been anallzed. Intact rock samples have been used from Cambrian, Ordovician and Carboniferous materials from the Bernesga Valley located In northern León. Several calculations of the following have been made: failure envelope ecuation, compressive strength (a), cohesion (c), sliding friction angle (<j>), friction coefficient (p), and angle between shear fractures and the uniaxial compressive strength (oc). A correlation between a, and u3, shear stress and normal stress, and log (o1-o3) vs. log (o1 + o3) has also been calculateden_US
