Abstract
investigaciones.
This report is the result of the archaeological intervention carried out for a year and a half in the archaeological remains in the Roman villa in the municipality of Gargoles de Arriba (Cifuentes, Guadalajara). These works were part of a broader project, which aimed at archaeological and restoration intervention in several Cultural Heritage Items in the municipality of Cifuentes (Guadalajara), with the City Council as developer: the fortress and part of the walls of the castle fold of the village, what came to be called Site 1: Medieval Fortifications; and the Roman villa in the municipality of Gargoles de Arriba, which was designated as Site 2: Roman Villa. This report focuses on the work carried out in Site 2: Roman Villa. These consisted of reconditioning of already known archaeological remains, the archaeological excavation of a stratigraphic survey, an assessment of the state of conservation of the structures, and a information panel was placed with the most relevant information on the site. These works were developed with a systematic methodology, which resulted a useful archaeological information that adds, further, to the data already obtained from previous investigations.
