Abstract
The aim of this article is to analyse the reasons that lead us to choose between the rising form and the form without rise in the Homeric Hymns to Demeter. The author tries to reconstruct the forms that the poet used; he bases on the metre and the vocabulary of the epic poetry, and not on the information of the manuscript M.
