Abstract
The hydrodynamic of Guadalfeo alluvial aquifer has been studied because is recharging Motril-Salobreña aquifer in its northern sector. The analysis of head in the two wells allows us to calculate the hydraulic gradient and its evolution for estimating the groundwater input to Motril-Salobreña aquifer. Hydraulic gradient and groundwater inflow decrease when water table rises associated with the Guadalfeo River flow increase due to rain events or Rules dam discharge. Furthermore the groundwater flow decreases during river flooding conditions and, in the same way, the recharge to Motril- Salobreña aquifer. That is the reason because this input to the aquifer is lower than the quantities estimated by other authors in previous studies
