Abstract

The different materials existing in the El Berrocal pluton are characterized from a mineralogical, chemical and geochemical point of view. The influence of the alteration processes on the migration/ retention of U, Th and other radionuclides is analyzed and the analogies of the hydrothermal alteration processes to those of a high level radioactive waste repository are established
