Abstract
El objetivo del presente artículo es mostrar la importancia que en la sociedad actual tienen los medios de comunicación social, cuya influencia llega a todos los grupos, con una significación especial en la población infantil. Se analiza el posible uso de los medios a nivel educativo, específicamente en Educación Infantil, concretándose en la prensa. Los nuevos Diseños Curriculares -del MEC y determinadas Comunidades Autónomasde Educación Infantil muestran los medios como ejes curriculares transversales. A modo de ejemplo se expone la programación de un centro público en este sentido, además de otras posibles actividades dirigidas a los más pequeños en cuanto al uso pedagógico y didáctico de la prensa.
The objective of this article is to show the importance of social communication media in nowadays society, whose influence reaches all groups, especially infant population. The possible use of media at educational level is analysed, specifically Infant Education, focusing on press. New MEC Curricular Designs and determined Infant Education Autonomous Communities show media as curricular transversal axes. The programming of a public centre is exposed as an example in this sense, in addition to other possible activities directed towards children in what didactic and pedagogic use of press concerns.
