Abstract
According to the micropaléontological and macropaleontological data, the Penedès Miocene marine sediments, and the Tarràgoha-Bonastre horst, represents Langhian and Langhian to Serravallian-Tortonian ages, respectively. The N 8 to N 16 biozones (Blow, 1969) have been recognized. According to these data, the marine sedimentation in the Penedès area finished in the Langhian
