Abstract
El análisis de los procesos de subsidencia representa la reducción de volumen
de una unidad en el subsuelo. Esta reducción puede deberse a imperfecciones
constructivas, consolidación de rellenos, disolución de evaporitas
o el colapso de materiales limosos. En muchos casos, las evidencias superficiales,
patologías, pueden permitir la caracterización del origen, pero
éstas son dependientes de la reología de los materiales. La caracterización
geométrica del subsuelo por medio de georradar, se presenta como metodología
eficaz para identificar el radio real de los procesos activos, la identificación
de la cota de afección y la cartografía indirecta de medios inestables
en medios urbanos

This reduction can be due to constructive imperfections, filling consolidation, evaporitic solution or collapses of silty units. In many cases, the surficial evidences -pathologies- allow the identification of their origin even though they are contingent on the material rheology. The geometrical characterization of underground materials by means of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), is presented as a successful methodology for the actual determination of active processes radii, the identification of the origin depth and the indirect mapping of unstable areas at urban areas
