Principio de mayordomía en las cooperativas

Abstract

Siglo tras siglo la tierra y las relaciones entre grupos humanos se va deteriorando, primero bajo el dominio de la Iglesia, después bajo los militares, y desde hace medio siglo bajo el dominio de las empresas. ¿Puede la comunidad, a través de sus formas de organización cooperativa, contribuir a la democratización del mundo y a que repensemos la naturaleza del cual la humanidad es parte? Puede. Puede si asume un rol de mayordomía, la cual, desde la tradición indígena, la religiosa y la de las ciencias económicas empresariales, hace repercibir a las cooperativas. Mayordomía es la palabra que resume la visión de la cooperativa, y de cualquier organización, para sus miembros. Ello es así si la comunidad es el punto de partida a la vez que el horizonte -esa comunidad tan local como global - y que nos reentender y reorganizar la vida de otra forma pensando en nuestra séptima generación.

Century after century, the land and relations between human groups are deteriorating, first under the domination of the Church, then under the military, and for half a century under the domination of companies. Can the community, through its forms of cooperative organization, contribute to the democratization of the world and to rethinking the nature of which humanity is a part? Can. It can if it assumes a role of stewardship, which, from the indigenous tradition, the religious tradition and that of business economic sciences, makes cooperatives re-perceive. Stewardship is the word that sums up the vision of the cooperative, and of any organization, for its members. This is so if the community is the starting point as well as the horizon - that community as local as it is global - and that we re-understand and re-organize life in another way, thinking of our seventh generation.
