Abstract
Several mammal footprints from the Mués area (Navarre, Ebro basin) are preliminary described. Owing to their morphology, the footprints are assigned to Equoidea and referred to Piagiolophustipus. It represents the second finding of this ichnogenus in the Fossil Record known. The footprints occur on sandstone beds of the Lower member of the Mués Formation of Oligocene (Stampien ?) age. The depositional environment of the fossiliferous beds is Interpreted as a marginal area within a fluvial system under warm and arid climatic conditions
