Regulación moral en adolescentes que han cometido el delito de robo

Abstract

En México ha aumentado la participación de adolescentes en delitos de robo, lo que significa implementar programas de prevención del delito. Se presenta un estudio cuasiexperimental pretest-postest con grupo control, en el que adolescentes en riesgo fueron expuestos a una de tres formas distintas de regulación moral: advertencia, prescripción y justificación. Se observó que, en el postest, la regulación moral incrementó la elección de devolución y redujo la de robo; además, que la advertencia promovió que ningún participante eligiera ninguna opción de robo y que las mujeres seleccionaran más la devolución. Se concluye que los programas sobre fortalecimiento de valores y normas sociales en adolescentes son importantes. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The participation of adolescents in theft crimes has increased in Mexico, which means implementing crime prevention programs. A pretest-posttest quasi-experimental study was conducted with a control group, in which at-risk adolescents were exposed to one of three different forms of moral regulation: warning, prescription and justification. The results showed that, in the posttest, the moral regulation increased the choice of return and reduced the choice of theft, with warning being the one that promoted that no participant chose any option of theft and that women had a greater increase in the choice of return. It is concluded that programs on strengthening values and social norms in adolescents are important.
