Variabilidad sedimentaria en la playa de Las Canteras (Gran Canaria)

Abstract

The sedimentary dynamic at Las Canteras beach is characterised by means of beach profiles data. A very strong seasonal pattern has been shown, consisting on succesive erosions and accretions coupled with an important volume of sediments transported all along the beach. On a shorter temporal scale, the quantification of the amount of transported sediments induced by a certain storm has proved a similar longshore transport pattern and very quick beach recovery
