Análisis de series temporales de dos manantiales kársticos mediante la aplicación de modelos ARMA

Abstract

ARMA models have been applied to study the flow series of two karstic springs: La Villa ( El TorcaI Aquifer, Málaga) and Fuente Mayor (Slmat de Valdigna Aquifer, Valencia). We have analysed the theoretic meaning of the parameters Involved in the model upon applying it to a simple scheme of the emptying of two karstic aquifers. We have also Indicated the types of transformations necessary to apply these models to the flow series which lack normality and having a strong periodic component. From our results we point out the advantages of using this type of model, and discuss the physical significance of the parameters obtained, from hydrodynamic standpoint
