Abstract
The Triassic Red Beds of the Tabular Cover of the Iberian Meseta represent an outcropping analogue of fluvial hydrocarbon reservoirs such as the algerian TAGI (Trias Argilo-Greséux Inferieur). The example of Alcaraz (Albacete) is constituted by sandstone bodies embedded in fines, as consequence of the deposit in different sedimentary environments and subenvironments. An evaluation of the petrophysical properties of the sandy bodies of the sequence II and part of the IV has revealed the heterogeneities between the different architectural elements, as well as within the same body. Thereby, different values of open porosity, permeability and anisotropy coefficient were obtained, as function of the sequence and the environment of deposit. In addition, hydric tests have shown the relation between some petrophysical parameters values and the properties of viscosity and density of the fluid that interact with the rock
