The differences in garnet composition of three grade-metamorphic zones of Central Hercynian Belt, can be used to estimate the thermobaric conditions of the rocks. The unusual garnet composition in granulite xenoliths ofalkaline dikes suggest a younger granulite episode linked with the latehercynian granite generation. The restitic origin of garnets in some granitoids of this region is also arguedes_ES
