Within the framework of the geometry and functioning of the carbonate aquifer of the Sierra Corda (Granada, Spain) the discharge zone o f Salar has outstanding anomalous characteristics — in geothermal, hydrochemical, isotope and hydrodynamic terms— with respect to the other springs which drain the aquifer. Monitoring of the principal physico-chemical characteristics of the springs during more than one hydrological cycle indicates the deep mixing of waters before dischargeen_US
