Familia, televisión y escuela : una propuesta de acción participativa

Abstract

El autor, convencido de la necesidad de la educación de las nuevas generaciones en el uso crítico de la televisión, presenta un proyecto de trabajo de la institución escolar para con los padres y las madres de los alumnos escolarizados en su Centro. Es insuficiente la educación «en» y «con» medios de comunicación en las aulas, si ésta no se ve acompañada con una formación de los padres en el uso de la televisión, ya que el visionado de la misma la realizan los chicos y las chicas principalmente en su hogar, y si en él no encuentran criterios coherentes para una utilización crítica y desenmascaradota del medio, de poco o de nada servirá cuanto escuchan en sus aulas.

The author, convinced of the need to educate new generations in the critical use of television, presents a work project of the school for the fathers and mothers of the students educated in his Institute. The education <<in>> and <<with>> the media in the classrooms is not enough if it is not accompanied by the training of the parents in the use of television, since its viewing time is carried out by the boys and girls mainly in their house, and if coherent criteria for a critical and unmasked use of the media cannot be found there, of little or no use will be what they listen to in their classroom.
