Abstract
En La razón populista, Ernesto Laclau reflexiona sobre la lógica de
la formación de las identidades colectivas y, en particular, del “pueblo” como
categoría política. En esta obra, el autor reconoce la importancia de la “metamorfosis de lo sagrado” en la lógica de la soberanía popular de las democracias
modernas y, con ello, en el populismo. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo
analizar la lógica de la “razón populista”, descrita por Laclau, como una modalidad mítica de constitución de la subjetividad política, a partir de las reflexiones
de Ernst Cassirer sobre el “mito político”. Con ello, se pretende echar luz sobre
algunos aspectos del proceso de sacralización presente en la construcción de
la identidad popular característica del populismo, así como sobre sus peligros
inherentes, en la vida política contemporánea
In On Populist Reason, Ernesto Laclau reflects on the logic of the formation of collective identities and, in particular, of “the people” as a political category. In this work, the author recognizes the importance of the “metamorphosis of the sacred” in the logic of popular sovereignty of modern democracies and, with it, in populism.The present work aims to analyze the logic of “populist reason”, described by Laclau, as a mythical modality of constitution of political subjectivity, based on Ernst Cassirer’s reflections on the “political myth”. With this, it is intended to shed light on some aspects of the process of sacralization present in the construction of the “popular” identity characteristic of populism, as well as its inherent dangers, in contemporary political life
