El líder como generador de sentido

Abstract

«Man is the only animal in the zoological scale that has to build his own destiny» wrote T. De Chardin. Therefore, we are confronted with the existential need to hone our meaning maker creative abilities. This implies making sense of our lives and actions. The leader becomes the archetype of human evolution, guiding personal, organizational and societal transformation processes. This article elaborates the mindset and mind-shifts needed for these developments to take place through the IDEC (Institute for the Development of Creativity) Model of Generative and Creative Leadership. Our collective future might depend on our ability to foster the emergence of this kind of leadership worldwide.

«El hombre es el único animal en la escala zoológica que tiene que trazarse su propio destino», escribió T. de Chardin. Estamos pues ante una necesidad existencial que implica generar significado y dar una orientación a la acción. El arquetipo de evolución humana que mejor asume esta responsabilidad es el líder (meaning maker), cuando es capaz de generar una visión asentada en un compromiso y en unos valores. Este artículo describe el modelo IDEC (Instituto para el Desarrollo de la Creatividad) de Liderazgo Creativo así como la estructura mental del Líder Creativo de cuya actitud, aptitud y visión puede depender el futuro de nuestras sociedades.
