Abstract

In this paper, we report and describe avian fossil remains recently found near the village of Etaio (Navarra province). The remains are small footprints and casts that may be attributed to Charadriiformes. Of the three morphotypes recognized, two and one of them are tetradactyl and tridactyl autopods, respectively. The described fossils remains from Etaio are the first repor ted avian footprints in the Oligocene continental sediments of Navarra
