Abstract
A structural analysis of the Hercynian pre-Permian materials at the Espadán Range (Castellón, SE Iberian Chain) has been carried out. From several outcrops, a sequence of hercynian deformational stages has been established, including: 1) stage of high flattening (Dn) with cleavage-related folds, 2) NW-SE cleavage-related folds with crenulation cleavage (stage Dn+1) and 3) N-S folds with related discontinuous cleavage (stage Dn+2). The present-day disposition of the meso-scale Hercynian structures is related to the Tertiary flexural folding affecting the whole outcrop
