La esclavitud doméstica de mujeres migrantes irregulares. Las cenicientas del Siglo XXI, pero sin príncipe que las rescate

Abstract

El fracaso de la negociación por la igualdad dentro de los hogares se ha resuelto con la instrumentalización de los miles de mujeres migrantes que el mercado excluye. Un trasvase de desigualdades entre empleadoras y empleadas, que en demasiadas ocasiones supone la explotación de quienes acuciadas por la necesidad aguantan todo tipo de abusos ante el temor de ser denunciadas y deportadas. El submundo sin reglas, sin derechos y sin testigos del empleo doméstico las convierte en víctimas perfectas de explotación en todas sus formas (laboral y sexual) y grados (también trabajos forzados, servidumbre y esclavitud). Evidenciada la interrelación entre migración femenina irregular y esclavitud doméstica, llega la hora de visibilizar y analizar la respuesta otorgada frente esta modalidad de explotación humana, tan frecuente como invisible e intolerable en un Estado de Derecho. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The failure of negotiations for equality within households has been resolved by the exploitation of the thousands of migrant women who are excluded from the market. A transfer of inequalities between employers and employees, which too often involves the exploitation of those who, driven by necessity, endure all kinds of abuse for fear of being reported and deported. The lawless, rightless and witnessless underworld of domestic employment makes them perfect victims of exploitation in all its forms (labor and sexual) and degrees (including forced labor, servitude and slavery). With the interrelationship between irregular female migration and domestic slavery now evident, it is time to make visible and analyze the response given to this form of human exploitation, which is as frequent as it is invisible and intolerable in a State of Law.
