Biotite-rich enclaves are conspicuos in the peraluminous granites. They had been interpreted as either melting restites or trapped xenoliths at different crustal levels. This work studies the biotite chemical composition in two mica-rich enclaves from Mora-Galvez pluton (Toledo). Based on these data, these mica-rich enclaves are interpreted as metamorphic xenoliths trapped at mid-crustal levels and variably reequilibrated with the host granite magma. Thus, a restitc origin is ruled outes_ES
