Sa Marineta aquifer (NE of Mallorca) has high values of transmissivity (> 10000 m2/d) and low gradient. Groundwater flows from the Llevant Ranges to the center of the aquifer and to the sea. Vertical registers of temperature and electrical conductivity logs has allowed to recognize a marine wedge, up to 8.5 km into the land. Brackish water exists in a 3 km belt parallel to the coastline. The rest of the aquifer has good quality fresh wateren_US
