Abstract
This paper tries to show how dialogue and empathy are qualities that characterize the policy of president Barack Obama. He widely develops these qualities during his two presidential terms, following the precedents of his public behavior in the stage of senator from Illinois and in the election campaign for the presidency of the United States. Presents three fields that serve as reference points of the listed notes: dialogue, consensus and joint action with allied States, respect, valuation and partnership with the Muslim world and complicity and mutual help with the hispanic community. In these three fields the policy of president Obama contrasts with the style of his predecessor in the White House, president George Bush. And also established new relationships with allies, muslims and inmigrants, until them uknow in the administrations of the former presidents of United States.
